About us

Here at Beginning World Changers (BWC), we are advocates in assisting those less fortunate to live healthy, productive lives, by assisting with human service programs and transitional shelter. We believe that educating those in need to become self-sufficient individuals is key in ensuring they break the cycle of homelessness for good.

President Frank Cunningham is the driving force behind the organization. Operating since 2011, Frank funded BWC for the first nine years from his own resources, driven to action by a desire to help those who were experiencing extreme hardship.

Utilizing his many years of social service experience, Frank recognized that whilst short term measures would always be critical to protecting and looking after vulnerable persons, there needed to be more robust, continued solutions within the community to enable individuals to improve their situations and end the pattern of homelessness. This realization led to the development of a proactive empowerment program which has become the foundation for BWC’s collaborative approach to long-term skill development.

We serve the New Jersey homeless community, currently specializing in feeding programs, with all meals home-cooked from scratch. We also organize clothing drives, shelter referrals, rehabilitation, and detox referral as well as organizing identification and birth certificates to aid employment.

Whilst this is worthy work in the short term, our longstanding vision is so much bigger. We are working hard to open up a men’s homeless shelter that would not only provide accommodation, but also a training facility that empowers both residents and non-residents to take charge of their own lives, return to their communities, and provide enduring skill development to enable them to integrate back into society in a well-rounded way.

Wellbeing, both physical and mental, is a huge part of our belief system. Therefore alongside personal and spiritual development, we plan to have a doctor referral program for our clients to ensure they are living a healthy life. Our men’s shelter will welcome Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous groups to come into our shelter for those who would like to address their addiction problems.

Alongside this, there are many, many more services that we are planning to add to our portfolio.
